AWARD WINNING GARDEN KITCHEN

AWARD WINNING GARDEN KITCHEN

Nestled in suburban charm, a single-fronted cottage yearned for transformation. We breathed new life into this space by removing the tired old lean-to and reimagining the rear of the house. The result? A sun-drenched kitchen and dining area seamlessly connected to a serene bathing room, all centered around the captivating garden.

Our approach celebrated the garden's prominence, utilizing reclaimed timber, glass, and off-form concrete to create a harmonious indoor-outdoor transition. Every aspect of this home was thoughtfully crafted, from custom joinery to door frames and benchwork. Timber, concrete, and copper elements infused the space with a sense of the natural and the raw.

An operable glass wall links the kitchen and garden, extending the home's ambiance from deep within to the lush expanse of the garden. Recognized with a commendation from The Australian Institute of Architects for Small Project Architecture (SA) in 2010, this project stands as a testament to our commitment to innovative and award-winning design."
